Tej Deol, M.D., M.B.A.,
Managing Partner

Tej, a Canadian national, has been living in Singapore with his wife and two children since 2001.

In 1990, at 24 years of age, he graduated as a medical doctor (M.D.) from the University of Western Ontario (Canada). He proceeded to complete his Residency in Family Medicine in 1992 and currently remains a Fellow of The Canadian College of Family Practitioners.

Tej practiced medicine in the United States from 1993 until 2001. He was a Diplomat of The American Board of Family Practice from 1996-2003. He served as a member of the Executive Committee of All Saints Medical Group, Texas from 1995-1999 and was appointed Director of Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine.

Tej was also an angel investor in People.com Consultants, an IT development and consulting firm, headquartered in San Jose, California. He was a member of the Board of Directors from 1996 to 1999, involved in strategic issues such as corporate finance, investor relations, and growth strategy. The company grew to over 500 consultants serving numerous multinational firms and was sold in the year 2000 to TMP Worldwide (an S&P 500 company, currently Hudson Highland Group).

Tej holds a Medical Degree from the University of Western Ontario and Honors MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

He has served as an elected member of the Singapore American Club General Committee and as Vice-Chairman of the Investment Committee.

Ivy Teh,
Managing Director

Ivy has over 10 years of experience in running and leading multi-country/regional projects for key healthcare accounts, especially in the medical device sector across Asia Pacific and in emerging market such as Latin America.

Ivy was previously the Head of Synovate’s Business Consulting unit in Singapore and Malaysia, leading a team of 20 consultants. Ivy’s healthcare consulting expertise has enabled her to build key accounts and strong working relationships with local hospitals, health authorities as well as international brand names.

Ivy has published numerous white papers and articles on current healthcare topics, on biotech industry growth in emerging markets, as well as on other medtech opportunities in Asia Pacific.

She has successfully completed over 300 engagements in growth strategies, competitive benchmarking analysis, and trending analysis for Fortune 500 clients as well as government agencies.

Ivy holds an MBA from the York University (Canada), specializing in international business and non-for-profit marketing. She also holds an honors bachelor Medical Physics degree from McMaster University (Canada).

Wilson Tan,
Director, Gateway Database Solutions

A seasoned healthcare consultant with over 9 years experience, Wilson has led the execution of numerous engagements serving clients in the healthcare industry. Key engagements include market entry and opportunity assessments, competitive intelligence analysis, brand analysis and distribution channel and partner search studies for multinational corporate and government clients across Asia Pacific.

Wilson is one of the key architects behind Clearstate’s successful medical device and consumables data tracking solutions series – The Gateway Databases. He currently heads Clearstate’s Gateway Database Solutions team providing targeted solutions designed for medical device manufacturers, offering the most comprehensive, robust and accurate usage data available in Asia.

As a Principal, Wilson also designs and manages multi-country, pan-Asian client advisory studies. He is highly involved in the analysis process to draw strategic insights and develop actionable strategies to help clients achieve aggressive growth targets through greater market penetration.

Prior to joining Clearstate, Wilson was a manager in a large multinational research and consulting firm. He led his team to manage key regional accounts, and was focused on the healthcare sector. Wilson graduated from the National University of Singapore with an Honours degree in Civil Engineering.
